This is the solution that we is used on all Vigilante (http://www.vigilante4×4.com) Jeep restorations. This is the ultimate power window conversion kit that bolts on to your door without drilling or modifying door panels.

The development of this solution started with some serious frustration when using existing off the shelf “universal kits” that were available to the Jeep SJ community.

The kit is available in multiple configurations:

• 2 door or 4 door

• power window motors only

• with or without the manual crank door switch

All our kits start with a the same available NuRelic conversion kit that other vendors offer but are now 100 percent designed for the Jeep SJ/Wagoneer models. Here is what we improve on them :

• In the kits manual, NuRelic indicated that the installer needs to DYI a stiffening bracket for the rear doors. We eliminate that hassle and include it in the kit. Stainless steel, bolt on and CAD-engineered. No more guess work and fabrication

• For the late model Grand Wagoneers, NuRelic includes universal lifter bars that, if used, it will hit the window wipes when the window closes. Frustrating! So we designed our own Wagoneer-specific bar out of stainless steel that won’t hit the wipes!

So if your Jeep already had electric windows, then this is all you need. No more flextracs and very easy to install. These kits are built to last!

But here is the biggest game changer!

If you are converting a manual window vehicle to electric, then you will need window switches.

Available kits from other vendors use generic switches. These are usually plastic modern-car looking switches or universal manual crank up-down switches. Those switches require drilling and sit flush with the door. The door in these Jeeps sit at a 7 degree angle so if you mount the universal kits, the crank will look as its not attached to the door properly as it is not flush with the door card. Also, they will not fit in the original location of the manual door crank, so you will need to position them higher up on the door card so… that means cutting a new hole in the door card and what do you do with the original hole???

All of this lead to a complete redesign that is a perfect, no drill solution that is specific to the Jeep Wagoneer/SJ platforms.

These crank switches are designed in CAD and produced out of machined billet stainless steel. They bolt into the original position of the manual crank so there is no modification needed to the door cards and are a bolt in solution. You will, obviously need to bring 12V power into the doors if not available yet. Your existing manual crank handle will bolt right into this switch.
