Available Upholstery Materials
Jeep Cherokee & J-Series Trucks
Cloth Denim: Available in blue and tan, sold by the linear yard. Typically used for seat cushions, seatbacks, and other upholstered surfaces.
Leather: Available by special order in coordinating colors, including deep blue and tan. Typically used on seat sides, backs, and other interior trim components. Sold by the hide, averaging approximately 55–56 square feet.
Jeep CJ Models
Denim-Pattern Vinyl: Available in blue, tan, and nutmeg. Used for the seating surfaces to recreate the classic Levi's denim appearance.
Coordinating Vinyl: Available in blue, tan, and nutmeg. Used for seat sides, backs, and other interior components.
CJ vinyl materials are sold by the linear yard, with a roll width of approximately 53¼ inches.
Choosing the Right Materials
Classic Jeep Levi's interiors used different upholstery materials depending on the vehicle and interior configuration.
For Cherokee and J-Series restorations, Jeep Heritage typically combines cloth denim seating surfaces with coordinating leather on the seat sides and backs.
For CJ restorations, we generally use denim-pattern vinyl on the seating surfaces and matching vinyl for the remaining seat sections.
These combinations reflect our restoration approach. Customers may purchase individual materials based on their project's requirements.
Estimated Material Quantities
The following estimates are based on typical Jeep Heritage upholstery restoration projects:
Jeep J-Series Truck: Approximately 2 leather hides and 4 yards of cloth denim.
Jeep Cherokee: Approximately 4 leather hides and 6 yards of cloth denim.
Jeep CJ: Approximately 6 yards of denim-pattern vinyl and 2 yards of coordinating vinyl.
These quantities are intended as general guidelines. Actual material requirements may vary depending on the vehicle, seat configuration, upholstery patterns, and additional interior components being restored. We recommend confirming quantities with your upholstery professional before ordering.
