What is "New Parts Friday" and Why Do We Remanufacture Classic Jeep Parts?
"New Parts Friday" is JeepHeritage's weekly showcase where we unveil a newly engineered or meticulously restored part essential for bringing your classic 1963–1991 Jeep (Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, Cherokee, J-Truck and CJ) back to life.
We re-engineer and restore these critical components based on our two decades of hands-on experience gained through our intense, nut-and-bolt, frame-off classic restorations and Vigilante restorations.
Why are these parts necessary?
The original factory parts frequently suffer from inherent weaknesses. Components like the plastic power window flex track were prone to constant breaking, electric mirror switches often failed catastrophically, and sheet metal parts (like tailgate strips) were susceptible to denting and rust.
We solve these durability issues by designing replacements using modern materials and superior engineering. This includes CNC-milling parts from solid billet aluminum (such as mirrors) or stainless steel, and utilizing materials like laser-centered nylon for durability, ensuring a clean, direct fit. This process delivers genuine Vigilante parts with no guesswork, just smart design, guaranteeing a reliability and finish that often surpasses the original factory quality.
